Over the past five years, Sodoma Law has grown from three offices to seven, more than doubled its headcount, and expanded to more than 50 attorneys. As we continue to grow, we are investing in the expansion of our Family Law practice and strengthening our presence in the Rock Hill community. We are seeking an experienced Family Law Attorney to help grow our footprint in the Rock Hill,SC while building meaningful relationships with clients, referral sources, and the broader community.**Who Thrives in This Role**This role is ideal for an attorney who is passionate about family law and enjoys guiding clients through some of life's most challenging and significant transitions. They are comfortable developing referral networks, fostering lasting client relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the family law process. Above all, they are dedicated to delivering exceptional client service while embodying Sodoma Law's core values of collaboration, integrity, and excellence.**How You’ll Contribute*** Provide competent legal advice to a book of family law clients in hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediations.* Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearing, mediations and trials.* Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.* Maintain strong, compassionate, and professional client communication throughout the case lifecycle.* Mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.* Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.* Engage in business development activities, including cultivating client relationships, networking, and contributing to the firm’s and individual growth initiatives.* Collaborate with attorneys and staff across the firm to support client needs and contribute to the continued success of Sodoma Law.## Qualifications**What Sets You Up for Success*** Licensed and in good standing with the South Carolina Bar; North Carolina licensure is a plus.* 3+ years of experience practicing family law, with the ability to independently handle cases from intake through resolution as first-chair counsel.* Ability to understand Local Rules and how they apply to family law cases.* Demonstrated ability to independently manage a client portfolio and maintain a high standard of client service.* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate high-stress, emotionally sensitive situations with professionalism, empathy, and compassion.* Active involvement in the York, Lancaster, Chester, and Chesterfield communities is preferred.**Why People Join Sodoma Law**At Sodoma Law, we approach our work differently.
