Manual Machinist
$23 - $32 per hourCalTek Staffing , Inc.
Job Title
Essential Duties
- Read blueprints, tooling and set up instructions and standard charts for specifications
- Set-up, and run all facets of work assigned
- Spot check production parts using calipers and micrometers per blueprint specifications.
- Monitor machine operation and report malfunctions to supervisor.
- Monitor tool performance through in-process quality checklists.
- Ensure company procedures and "best machine practices" are being always followed and are in place
- Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years of Manual Lathe, Mill experience, and Surface grinder. CNC experience a plus.
- Experience using shop tools such as and not limited to mics, depth gages, calipers, indicators, etc.
- Strong production and safety knowledge a must
- Aptitude to work in a team environment with ability to plan and achieve goals
- Analytical with strong problem-solving abilities
