Battery Sales Engineer - Fulltime and Permanent - Remote in Houston, TX

Pay Rate : $150,000 to $200,000/year (Upon negotiation) Schedule : Full-time Duration : Permanent Job Overview We are seeking an Energy Sales Engineer / ESS Technical Solution Engineer to support Energy Storage System (ESS) solutions for AI Data Center (AIDC) applications. This position combines the responsibilities of an Applications Engineer and Sales Engineer , working directly with customers to understand their technical requirements, develop customized power and energy solutions, demonstrate product capabilities, and support the sales process from initial engagement through project delivery. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in data center power infrastructure, ESS, UPS systems, battery backup systems, HVDC, IT racks, or solid-state transformers , along with the ability to communicate complex technical solutions to customers. Key Requirements Experience in at least one of the following areas: UPS systems IT/data center racks and power infrastructure Battery backup or Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS/ESS) HVDC systems Solid-state transformers Experience developing technical solutions or designing power systems Experience supporting data center, energy storage, or critical power applications Previous experience as an Applications Engineer, Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar technical customer-facing role is highly preferred Strong technical presentation, communication, and customer engagement skills Key Responsibilities Technical Solution Development Understand customer requirements and develop tailored ESS and power system solutions. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to design solutions that address customer technical and business needs. Translate customer requirements into technical specifications and solution proposals. Product Demonstrations & Technical Presentations Develop a deep understanding of the company's products, technologies, and applications. Explain complex technical concepts clearly to customers. Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations highlighting product capabilities, benefits, and business value. Work directly with customers to understand their projects, technical challenges, and requirements. Gather competitive intelligence and identify opportunities where the company's solutions can provide differentiated value. Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal engineering, product, and project teams. Proposal & Documentation Development Prepare detailed technical proposals outlining recommended solutions, specifications, and benefits. Develop customer-required technical documentation, including specifications, user manuals, technical proposals, and related project documentation. Technical Support Provide technical support throughout the sales and project lifecycle. Respond to customer questions, concerns, and technical issues. Communicate customer feedback and technical requirements to internal development teams. Technical Agreement & Negotiation Participate in customer technical negotiations. Address technical concerns, clarify requirements, and ensure alignment between customer expectations and proposed solutions. Support the development and finalization of technical agreements. Identify potential technical risks and develop preventive solutions. Support the resolution of technical issues during manufacturing, delivery, installation, and commissioning. Coordinate with engineering and project management teams through successful project handover. Market & Competitive Analysis Monitor AI data center, ESS, and critical power market trends. Analyze competitor technologies and solutions. Gather customer feedback and provide recommendations for product and service improvements. Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of experience supporting the U.S. AI data center, ESS, or critical power market Previous experience as an Applications Engineer (AE), Sales Engineer (SE), Solutions Engineer, or Technical Sales Engineer Experience with ESS/BESS, UPS, data center power infrastructure, HVDC, or related technologies Previous experience with a utility, ESS developer, energy storage manufacturer, or data center infrastructure company is a plus Knowledge of U.S. ESS project development requirements is preferred Strong customer service and interpersonal skills Excellent market and competitor analysis capabilities Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Strong logical and strategic thinking abilities #J-18808-Ljbffr Comrise
