Estimator
A reputable construction company in Hartford is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team. This person will play a key role in preparing accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. We are looking for someone who is detail oriented, analytical, and confident working in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review project plans, specifications, and documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and prepare detailed cost estimates
- Work with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing
- Analyze bids and proposals to ensure accuracy
- Assist project managers and leadership with budgeting and forecasting
- Participate in pre construction meetings and support project handoff
- Maintain historical cost data and update internal estimating tools
Qualifications:
- 3+ years estimating at a construction company on projects over $250K
- Strong understanding of commercial construction
- Proficiency with estimating software and Excel
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Detail oriented with strong analytical thinking
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary between $95,000 and $145,000 based on experience
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
