Per Diem Floating Staff Pharmacist Opportunity – Retail Grocery Pharmacy

This role offers flexible, self-scheduled per diem work as a floating staff pharmacist across multiple retail grocery pharmacy locations within the Akron, Cleveland, and Canton areas. Ideal for pharmacists seeking supplemental income or part-time engagement with the flexibility to select preferred shifts each month.

Location and Scheduling:

• Worksite varies among stores in Akron, Cleveland, and Canton, OH
• Self-scheduling PRN model: choose shifts from a posted list monthly (around the 20th-22nd)
• Reliable transportation required for travel between locations

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive retail pharmacy services including prescription processing, inventory management, data entry, and customer service
• Supervise pharmacy technicians (typically 2-3 on shift) and manage pharmacy operations independently in lower-volume stores
• Maintain patient safety and compliance with all company and regulatory policies
• Utilize McKesson EnterpriseRx software for daily pharmacy workflow

Training and Onboarding:

• Complete three paid 8-hour training shifts before starting per diem assignments
• Training may occur at a location different from preferred work territory
• Smock/uniform provided for all pharmacists

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio pharmacist license required
• 1-2 years of retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Ability and willingness to float between multiple store locations within the region
• Strong communication and organizational skills for multi-site coordination
