Senior Manager, OLED Field Applications Engineering San Jose, California, United States About the Role Samsung Display, the world’s leading OLED provider, seeks a Senior Manager of Field Application Engineering to support customers and collaborate with Korean HQ on product development, project management, technical support, and market research. The role is a key individual‑contributor position focused on OLED and QD‑OLED technologies. What You’ll Do Develop and execute promotion plans for new products and technology to existing and target customers with the goal to secure RFQ for upcoming products. Support design efforts by performing joint validation and testing of the Samsung products (OLED, QD‑OLED) on customer platforms, including electrical, mechanical, optical, safety, and reliability tests until closure. Communicate daily with customers regarding technical issues and project schedules. Conduct face‑to‑face customer meetings weekly/daily as needed to provide support, discuss current issues, provide updates, discuss current and future business, and build strong relationships. Address customer issues by gathering facts, recommending solutions, and gaining SDC management support. Provide customer support, including product information, road‑maps, demonstrations, and technical assistance. Report progress and opportunities to management on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and solicit support when needed. Update key activities through weekly reports for executive review. Communicate with the corporate HQ team regarding pending and new issues. Deliver insights based on real‑time customer feedback and establish execution plans accordingly. What You Bring Bachelor’s in engineering and 15+ years of experience, or a Master’s and 13+ years of experience, or a PhD and 10+ years of industry experience (preferred). Experience in consumer electronics, preferably technical experience in the display industry. Solid understanding of OLED display technologies and basic understanding of other types of displays. Strong project management skills with the ability to drive projects forward and solve issues creatively. Customer‑centric mindset, supportive behavior, and courtesy for customer satisfaction. What We Offer Competitive base pay range: $189,000 – $301,000 USD. Pay varies by location and experience.
