Accounting Associate

Buzzi Unicem USA Stockertown Plant is looking for an Accounting Associate.

• Payroll responsible for all non-exempt plant employees. Audit, edit, and submit for approval all weekly timecards in Kronos. Print, fold, and distribute paychecks. Handle all Payroll issues with the Corporate Payroll Department.
• Keep insurance certificates on file and up to date.
• Reconcile invoices with receipts for raw materials.
• Follows up on all Unreceived Freight and Materials with vendors as well as those that are Received, but not yet invoiced.
• Accounts Payable enter receipts and releases for invoices. Obtain approvals when required.
• Tracks Vendor Statements and obtains and researches any outstanding invoices.
• Performs a wide variety of administrative duties, including but not limited to setting up meeting agendas, presentations, reports, and distributing notes/minutes appropriately.
• Coordinate purchases such as consumables, meals, office supplies and promotional materials as needed.
• Plans events as needed for all activities and sustainability initiatives.
• Update Monthly Plant reports.
• Performs additional accounting responsibilities as required.

Skill the candidate of this position must have are:

• Associates degree in accounting preferred or emphasis on accounting/bookkeeping
• 2-4 years general accounting experience
• Kronos Timekeeping knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle Financial System is a plus
• Proficiency with various software applications including Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with attention to conveying accurate and appropriate information
