Job Description: Schedule: 19.75 hours per week, in person on Wednesdays and Thursdays Compensation: $27.00 per hour Responsibilities Support the planning, preparation, and facilitation of sparc! programs and events. Attend weekly sparc! team meetings and weekly CACP staff meetings. Assist with planning and facilitating weekly sparc! team meetings. Prepare materials, supplies, and other resources needed for sparc! events and activities. Research and order art materials and program supplies in collaboration with the sparc! Program Manager for upcoming events. Assist with event setup, breakdown, and on-site coordination as needed. Support the translation of sparc! program materials and communications from English to Spanish, as needed. Work with the sparc! Program Manager to support the student team during office hours by providing guidance, assisting with projects and tasks, and helping maintain an organized, collaborative workspace. Develop relationships with sparc! community partners and support engagement with partners through special events and programs. Act as an ambassador for sparc! the ArtMobile and MassArt's Center for Art and Community Partnerships (CACP), sharing information about programs, resources, and opportunities with community partners and participants. Collaborate with staff to complete additional program-related tasks that arise during the contract period. Requirements: Qualifications: A love of people and community, as well as a sense of humor! Experience working collaboratively with people of all ages and stages Experience working inRoxbury, Mission Hill, Dorchester, and other neighborhoods of Boston Strong communication skills and punctuality Experience creating and leading art-making workshops Bilingual in Spanish, Haitian Creole, Cape Verdean Portuguese Creole is a plus Additional Information: Please note MassArt: Does not support employment-based visa sponsorship or non-student exchange visitor visa sponsorship.
