Job Overview
Role: Warehouse Manager
Industry: Event Planning
Reports to: Owner
Job Type: Full-Time
Responsibilities
Operations: Manage daily store operations, opening/closing procedures, and customer service desks
Leadership: Supervise the event coordinators and assistant warehouse manager
Inventory Control: Track tables, chairs, linens, flatware, and decor; coordinate cleaning, maintenance, and repair.
Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise warehouse workers, and delivery drivers.
Logistics: Oversee delivery schedules, route planning, and event setup or teardown.
Sales & Quotes: Consult with clients, prepare accurate price quotes, and manage event contracts.

Client Relations & Sales Support
B2B Partnership: Act as the primary technical point of contact for local event planners, venues, and corporate accounts.
Conflict Resolution: Resolve on-site delivery delays, incorrect orders, or equipment malfunctions rapidly under high-stress event timelines.
Site Inspections: Conduct physical venue walkthroughs to measure spatial dimensions and identify power sources before finalizing quotes.

Team Leadership & Safety
Labor Budgeting: Create weekly shift schedules for 20-25 seasonal warehouse associates and delivery drivers while minimizing overtime costs.
Safety Training: Conduct quarterly OSHA-compliant safety meetings focused on proper heavy lifting techniques and forklift operations.
DOT Compliance: Maintain vehicle maintenance logs, safety inspections, and driver compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

Qualifications
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in event rentals, hospitality, or warehouse logistics.
Education: High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business or hospitality is a plus.
Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
Physical Demands: Ability to lift heavy equipment and stand for long periods.
License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
