Job Overview Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) supporting plasma center operations under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) and the Center Physician. Responsibilities Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent management, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and review of Serological Protein Electrophoresis (SPE). Evaluate donor reactions per SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies. Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for findings that require medical or technical guidance. Support HepatitisB and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees. Manage employee incidents and determine whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER. Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations associated with pandemic threats within the local community. Qualifications High‑school diploma or equivalent, including a recognized nursing program with state requirements. Licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT‑Paramedic. Current CPR and AED certification. Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy. Complete FDA‑approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist. Two (2) years in a clinical or hospital setting. Compensation & Benefits U.S. Hourly Wage Range: $25.60 – $35.20.
