Assistant Controller– Real Estate/Construction Near Hawthorne NJ
We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to manage financial operations for a diverse portfolio that includes real estate investments, property management & development projects, This role is hands-on and critical to ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and system integrity across multiple entities

$120K-$150K DOE Plus performance Review

What You’ll Do:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Manage month-end/year-end close in NetSuite
- Oversee property-level accounting (rent rolls, CAM reconciliations, tenant billing)
- Handle inventory accounting, COGS, and margin analysis for recycling operations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and tax filings
- Mentor junior accounting staff and drive process improvements
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
- 8–10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong NetSuite skills (required)
- Experience with AppFolio or similar property management software
- CPA or CPA-track preferred
