Jasper County Administrative Assistant Position within the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension, responsible for administrative duties and support of the Jasper County Extension office. Posting Details Posting Number: S15267P Working Title: Jasper County Administrative Assistant Department: CAES-Northeast District CES Posting Date: 06/09/2026 Closing Date: Until filled (proposed starting date 07/19/2026) Employment Information Employment Type: Full Time, FTE 1.00 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Salary: $36,000, commensurate with experience Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); QuickBooks knowledge; some knowledge of 4‑H programs and agricultural related information. Responsibilities Maintain office hours and assist clientele with access to Extension resources and services (including printed publications, online content, and diagnostic services). Facilitate conference calls/video conferences with County Agents and State Specialists. Maintain appropriate records for fiscal reporting; prepare accounting forms; reconcile local Extension budgets; maintain financial records and office filing system. Assist the County Extension Coordinator with personnel procedures and maintain efficient work habits. Budget allocated funds; manage equipment, supplies, travel expenses, and other program support within limits. Perform specific tasks and assume leadership for program areas as specified by the District Extension Director or County Extension Coordinator. Adhere to the University of Georgia Cooperative Extension Equal Opportunity plan. Other duties as assigned. Physical Demands Light office lifting; occasional 4‑H project lifting; possible assistance with livestock projects. Some standing or sitting for varying lengths of time. Driving required. Additional Information Driving is a responsibility of this position, it is a position of trust, and it involves control of financial resources, though no P‑Card is required.
