Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiology Clinic

Position Overview: Join a fast-paced Cardiology Clinic located within the Medical Office Building on the Aurora Sheboygan Hospital campus. The clinic serves adult cardiac patients and offers a collaborative environment with an experienced multidisciplinary team.

Facility & Unit Details:

• Specialty: Cardiology Clinic
• Exam Rooms: 11
• Average Patient Volume: 24–60 patients per day
• Patient Population: Adult patients
• Clinic Pace: Patients scheduled every 15 minutes

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of RN experience
• Experience in any of the following is accepted: Outpatient/Clinic ICU/CVICU Cath Lab Cardiac Stepdown
• First-time travelers are welcome if they can successfully transition from an acute care setting to an outpatient clinic.

Required Certifications:

• BLS
• ACLS

Preferred:

• EPIC EMR experience

Patient Population & Diagnoses:

• Care for adult patients with: Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) Chest Pain Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization Post-CABG Post Valve Replacement Pulmonary Hypertension Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) Electrophysiology (EP) conditions Stress test patients

Responsibilities:

• Patient assessment and education
• Telephone triage
• Procedure authorizations
• Enter physician orders
• Manage EMR in-basket messages
• Communicate abnormal lab results to patients
• Assist with patient rooming and EKGs as needed
• Apply Holter and Event Monitors (training provided if needed)
• Occasionally administer IV Dobutamine during stress testing

Team Support:

• Work alongside: Medical Assistants (MA) Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) Patient Service Representatives Lead Nurse Nurse Manager/Supervisor 5 Cardiologists 1 Electrophysiologist (EP) 4 Nurse Practitioners/Physician Assistants

Technology & Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC (Preferred)
• IV Pump: Alaris
• Cardiac Monitors: Zio & Bardy
• Equipment: EKG Machines

Orientation:

• Up to 2 weeks of orientation, based on experience and comfort level.

Schedule Shift:

• Monday – Friday
• Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Rotating half-day off each week
• No weekends
• No on-call
• No holiday requirement
