About the Position

Job Title: Cytotechnologist Traveler Profession: Medical Laboratory Specialty: Cytotechnologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 38 Experience: - Minimum of 2 years as a Cytotechnologist License: - Cytotechnologist CT registration is required Certifications: - Associate degree is required; Bachelor’s degree is preferred Must-Have: - Knowledge of all aspects of the cytotechnology department Description: Looking for a Cytotechnologist Traveler to work Monday - Friday to read PAPs and non-GYN slides. Molecular testing on PAP vials and grossing is included in the position. The Cytotechnologist will demonstrate technical skill in all aspects of cytology processing, preparation, and staining. Must be able to screen an average of 40 to 80 slides per day. Assistance in specimen collection is requested as needed. Maintains computerized patient records. Screens an average of 60 to 80 slides per day, in compliance with CAP and Pathologist limits. Diagnosis must consistently align within one grade of Pathologist or Consultant diagnosis.
