Payroll Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll/Accounting person to join our accounting team. The Accounting and Payroll Specialist will be responsible for overseeing accurate timekeeping for biweekly payroll for 2 entities. Payroll includes supplemental pay types and bonus payroll along with supporting month-end close activities and account reconciliations. This position plays a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee compensation, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. What We Offer Health, dental and vision insurance 401(k) PTO Employee purchase and service discounts Legal assistance program Florida hospital wellness discount Duties and Responsibilities Required Skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Excellent communication skills both written and oral Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Payroll Process bi-weekly payroll for 2 businesses alternating weeks Review electronic timekeeping earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments for accuracy Maintain employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information with discretion and integrity Coordinate payroll-related activities, including benefits- HSA, 401K deductions and weekly submissions to admin Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations Assist with payroll tax filings, W-2 preparation, and year-end payroll activities Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve issues promptly General Accounting Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned Education and Experience Minimum of 2-4 years of accounting experience, with experience processing payroll in dedicated software and accounting software. Experience with dedicated all-inclusive payroll software EI: Netchex, Paycor, Paycom, ADP etc. Knowledge of medical deductions, HSA and 401K reporting requirements Experience with month-end close and account reconciliations Parks Ford of Wesley Chapel is an equal opportunity employer.
