We are looking for an HR Coordinator to join our team in Oak Ridge, Tennessee for a Contract position. This role supports day-to-day human resources operations by delivering organized administrative assistance, responsive employee support, and reliable coordination across recruitment and personnel processes. The ideal candidate brings at least 1 year of experience in HR support and can help maintain accurate records, compliance standards, and a positive experience for candidates and employees alike.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate onboarding activities for new employees, including preparing documents, scheduling pre-employment steps, and helping employees transition smoothly into the organization.

• Maintain personnel records with accuracy and confidentiality while ensuring required HR documentation is complete, current, and properly filed.

• Support recruiting efforts by scheduling interviews, communicating with candidates, and assisting staffing teams throughout the selection process.

• Facilitate background screening and employment verification tasks in a timely manner while following established compliance guidelines.

• Assist with performance review administration by tracking timelines, preparing materials, and following up with managers and employees as needed.

• Prepare routine HR reports and provide administrative support for audits, compliance reviews, and departmental initiatives.

• Respond to employee and manager inquiries related to HR policies, procedures, and general employment matters with professionalism and discretion.

• Perform clerical and office support duties that help the HR team operate efficiently and meet organizational goals.

• At least 1 year of experience in human resources coordination, HR administration, or a related support role.
• Working knowledge of onboarding, employee file management, and general HR operational processes.
• Experience assisting with recruiting activities such as interview scheduling, candidate communication, and hiring coordination.
• Familiarity with background checks, employment verification, and HR compliance documentation.
• Understanding of HR policies, procedures, and employment practices with the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused approach to employee and candidate support.
