About the Role:
Join HARLEM FAMILY SERVICES INC as a full-time Child and Family Counselor, where you will make a real difference in the lives of individuals and families in our community. We are seeking passionate professionals to provide high-quality mental health services in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and families.
Document client progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance client care and outcomes.
Facilitate group therapy sessions and community outreach programs.
Be trained in "Reflective Network Therapy", group therapy method for children 2-7 years of age, and attend supervision
Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in mental health care.
Engage in professional development and training opportunities.
Advocate for clients’ needs and connect them with appropriate resources.
Qualifications:
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
Current and valid New York State Licensure (LCSW, LMHC, or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate demeanor.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Experience with diverse populations and cultural competence.
Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical practice.
