Loan Officer Associate The Loan Officer Associate assists Loan Officers while developing skills and knowledge to become a Loan Officer in the future. The role includes completing on‑line and classroom training, operational and hands‑on training, and supporting borrowers throughout the loan process. Responsibilities Participate in formal training programs covering lending, loan types, credit assessment, and the loan approval process. Train with manager on mortgage rate sheets to accurately price and lock loans. Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports to understand the overall mortgage process from application to closing. Complete testing for mortgage licensing and maintain state licensing as required. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of RESPA through continuing education. Update loan applications with missing data and maintain notes in the Loan Origination System. Provide initial file set up and support processors and closers in procuring loan documents. Participate in builder and realtor functions to develop and maintain relationships. Work with Division Manager and Loan Officers on local marketing campaigns. Serve as primary contact between borrowers and Loan Officers, scheduling and conducting meetings as needed. Assist internal associates via phone, email, and chat; respond promptly. Work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings as required. Qualifications & Experience High school diploma or equivalent; BA or BS preferred. Mortgage or banking experience preferred. Experience articulating product or service features, benefits, and value. Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other standard office software. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Valid physical fitness to operate in construction trailer environments, including ability to read plans, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds. Physical & On‑Site Requirements Regular in‑person attendance at company communities, job sites, and offices during regular work hours. Ability to work more than eight hours per day in confined quarters. Ability to operate a motor vehicle, read plans, climb stairs and ladders, and lift and carry equipment up to 50 pounds. Occasional operation of construction equipment. Finger dexterity required for computer keyboard and calculator use.
