Job Overview

AMMON Staffing is hiring a Journeyman Electrician for a commercial/industrial position in Baton Rouge, LA. This role requires Journeyman-level electrical experience. Candidates without commercial or industrial electrical experience will not be considered.

The Journeyman Electrician will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems and equipment while ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with electrical codes and company standards.

Work Setting: On-Site
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Pay Frequency: Hourly
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Experience Required: Journeyman-level electrical experience required

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams
Run conduit and install electrical wiring
Wire panels and electrical components
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
Troubleshoot electrical issues
Perform preventative maintenance
Follow electrical codes and safety procedures
Work independently or as part of a crew
Maintain a safe and organized work area

Requirements

Must have Journeyman-level electrical experience
Commercial or industrial electrical experience required
Industrial experience preferred
Strong troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of electrical codes and safety procedures
Ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams
Ability to work in fast-paced industrial or construction environments
Reliable transportation required
Dependable attendance and strong work ethic

Screening Requirements

Background check may be required
Drug screen may be required
