Onsite or Remote Flexible Hybrid Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed Posted Date: 06/18/2026 Salary Range: $27.08 – 43.55 Hourly Employment Type: 4 - Staff: Limited Duration: 18 months Job #: 29405 Primary Duties and Responsibilities The Familias Unidas Niños Sanos (FUNS) project is a research program designed to improve dietary habits, physical activity, and body mass index outcomes among young Latino children through caregiver engagement, skill building, and health education. The Assistant Clinical Research Coordinator supports the Program Manager and Principal Investigator in the operational management of study activities. Responsibilities include assisting with study implementation, ensuring compliance with protocols and regulations, and supporting the achievement of project milestones and deadlines. Strong attention to detail and professional communication skills are essential. This role requires the ability to work independently in community or field-based settings and to build and maintain effective relationships with community partners. The candidate must be comfortable interacting with children, parents, and families. Qualifications include fluency in English and Spanish, reliable transportation for regional travel, and availability to work across communities in Los Angeles County to support recruitment, enrollment, and data collection. Evening and weekend availability is required based on project needs. This is a full‑time, limited appointment that may convert to career. Salary Range: $27.08 – 43.55 Hourly Job Qualifications Required: Hold a valid California State Driver’s License and have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies/procedures Strong organizational capabilities and the ability to work efficiently and complete tasks with thoroughness and accuracy. Ability to concentrate and focus in a work environment that contains distracting stimuli and competing deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively establish rapport, build collaborative relationships, and communicate complex concepts and ideas in an easy to understand manner in both English and Spanish. Skills sufficient to solve problems and identify solutions and the ability to respond to situations in an appropriate and professional manner. Ability to adapt to changing job demands and priorities; work flexible hours, including some weekend and evening hours, to accommodate research deadlines. Ability to handle confidential material information with judgement and discretion. Typing and computer skill/ability including word-processing, use of spreadsheets, email, data entry. Ability to navigate numerous software programs and applications. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software, especially Excel, to perform daily tasks efficiently and accurately. Skill in coordinating information transfer among multiple constituents. Availability to work in more than one environment, travelling to various clinic sites, meetings, conferences, etc. A learning and professional growth mentality so that new software tools, systems, and processes can be adopted quickly and efficiently. Must be able to carry lab equipment, up to 15 lbs, including scales, and a Stadiometer. As a condition of employment, the final candidate who accepts an offer of employment will be required to disclose if they have been subject to any final administrative or judicial decisions within the last seven years determining that they committed any misconduct; or have filed an appeal of a finding of substantiated misconduct with a previous employer.
