SCOE Substitute Head Start Assistant ApplicationMust be at least 18 years of AND EXPERIENCE:Graduation from high school required. Enrollment in college for the purpose of completing a Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher level permit preferred.

ENVIRONMENT: Classroom environmentConstant interruptionsPHYSICAL DEMANDS:Hearing and speaking to exchange to monitor students and read a variety of at the waist kneeling or crouching to assist for extending periods of of hands and fingers to manipulate specialized apparatus (e.g. latches levers and switches on certain devices like gates cribs and playground equipment) and standard office and classroom pulling lifting light-medium weighted standing walking and sitting. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:A pre-employment physical/drug screen clearance DOJ/CACI fingerprint clearance and TB clearance will be required prior to employment. May be required to provide own transportation. HAZARDS:Blood-borne pathogens and body diseases. IMMUNIZATIONS: Must comply with Senate Bill 792 immunization requirements for influenza pertussis and NOTE: Due to the new CALPERS requirements retirees may not substitute for the first 180 days after their retirement date.
