The Opportunity

This is a high-impact, high-visibility role at the intersection of clinical workflow, AI, and patient advocacy. As a Senior Product Manager on our product team, you will own the discovery and delivery of transformational features that directly affect the health and safety of millions of seniors transitioning from acute care settings to home each year. You will work closely with clinical advisors, engineering leads, and our industry's preeminent payor, health system, and post-acute partners to translate complex care transition challenges into elegant, evidence-based product experiences.

You'll join Product at a moment when we're building the operating systems that let PAA scale from marquee wins to a pipeline of national-scale customers. That means you'll operate inside a formal Product Charter and governance framework – investment buckets, discovery rituals, closed-loop Voice of the Customer (VoC), unified roadmap – and you'll help set the standard for how Senior PM work is done here. You'll also be on the frontline of defining the role with new tooling: agentic workflows, context-driven spec systems, and AI-assisted discovery. We're investing in our people with cutting-edge tools and looking for people excited to operate at the next level.

This role isn't for someone whose definition of PM work centers on running ceremonies, curating a roadmap, or translating requirements. You'll own a domain, not a feature list. You'll have a clear path toward director-level responsibilities as you grow in your scope.

What You'll Own

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define and evangelize the roadmap for transformational new product features (i.e. care transition, network optimization, STARs strategy and more)
• Identify white-space opportunities by synthesizing clinical evidence, patient journey research, and market intelligence – and recognize when feature requests are pointing at deeper architectural opportunities
• Partner with product leadership to shape annual product strategy, OKRs, and investment priorities for the post-acute domain
• Operate inside PAA's Product Charter and governance framework, use the investment bucket taxonomy, respect cross-portfolio capacity constraints when shared engineering services are involved, and contribute to the unified roadmap discipline.

Discovery & Validation

• Lead continuous discovery with clinical end-users, shadow care managers and nurses in real workflows, not just run interviews
• Trigger the discovery kickoff ritual as soon as a piece of work is real. Bring the architect, clinical partner, CS partner, and Ops partner into the room before requirements get promised externally. You own the why and the for whom; Engineering owns the how.
• Collaborate with product Lead UX/UI Designer to design and run rapid experiments (prototypes, pilots, A/B tests) to validate problem-solution fit before full build, taking advantage of modern AI-assisted prototyping to move faster than traditional cycles allow
• Translate qualitative insights and quantitative data into well-scoped, high-confidence hypotheses and into concrete specs engineering can act on immediately
• Build voice-of-customer loops that close. Feedback intake, categorization, and visible tie-back to roadmap decisions so users see the impact of their input.

Analytics & Measurement

• Define what "working" looks like before you ship. Every feature ships with two analytics layers designed in from the start: internal ("how is this feature performing against the outcome I said it would deliver?") and customer-facing ("how is my team doing, and is this product helping?")
• Own analytics requirements end-to-end. Partner with the Analytics team to design measurement, reporting, and dashboards for new features: you write the requirements, they build the pipes.
• Rigorously assess upstream and downstream impact when working with the Analytics team. Every new metric added has consequences for existing dashboards, data pipelines, and reports; those consequences get mapped and communicated before development starts, not discovered after.
• Build customer-facing analytics into the product where they create value; feature performance dashboards for internal use, client team dashboards for external value, ROI reporting to support buyer conversations.
• Establish and monitor leading indicators (usage, engagement, workflow completion) alongside lagging outcomes (clinical impact, efficiency gains, retention). Bring the data to backlog conversations, not just the anecdotes.

Delivery & Execution  

• Own the full sprint lifecycle — from story writing and acceptance criteria to UAT sign-off and release, using our AI centric tool sets to spend more time on judgment and less on process
• Collaborate with engineering and design to ship features that are clinically accurate, HIPAA compliant, and delightfully usable
• Maintain a healthy, prioritized backlog that balances strategic initiatives with technical debt and partner commitments, sequenced against the investment bucket allocations set at each planning cycle
• Communicate cross-client release impact proactively. When a feature ships for one client but touches shared surface area, CS and Ops know before their clients do.
• Hold the line on client-commitment discipline: external scope conversations happen after Engineering has confirmed feasibility, never before. No promises the team can't credibly deliver.

Outcomes & Impact

• Define and track product KPIs tied to clinical outcomes, efficiency gains, and patient experience
• Build feedback loops with CS, Clinical Operations, and Support to continuously improve post launch; every signal has a tracked path from intake to prioritization to shipped fix or explicit decision to defer
• Report on product performance and key learnings to executive, customer, and clinical leadership, with the analytics you designed doing most of the talking
• Mentor less-experienced PMs and set the craft bar for the Product organization. Your discovery habits, your specs, your analytics rigor, and your cross-functional relationships are the standard others learn from.

Requirements:

5+ years of product management or product ownership experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare technology

• Deep domain knowledge in post-acute care, care transitions, or adjacent areas (home health, SNF, hospice, chronic care management)
• Genuine fluency with, and excitement about, AI-assisted and agentic product workflows, and an interest in helping define what senior PM work looks like as the tooling evolves
• Proven track record shipping complex, regulated software products in Agile/Scrum environments
• Demonstrated ability to work with clinical stakeholders and translate clinical workflows into product requirements
• Strong analytics ownership — you've designed the measurement and reporting layer for features you've shipped, not just consumed dashboards someone else built. Comfortable with SQL, product analytics tools, and defining both internal (feature-performance) and customer-facing (client value) analytics.
• Experience navigating HIPAA, CMS regulatory frameworks, and interoperability standards (HL7 FHIR, ADT feeds) preferred
• Experience in digital health, SaaS, or healthcare technology solutions
