Our client, a successful litigation law firm, is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their growing legal team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This role is well suited for an attorney who can take ownership of active matters, work directly with clients, and drive cases forward with confidence. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in civil litigation, and experience with employment-related matters will be highly valued.

Role: Associate Attorney

Location: Cambridge, MA

Schedule: Hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote)

Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 (depending on experience)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and assist with employment and business litigation matters from inception through resolution.
• Independently conduct and defend depositions.
• Draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
• Draft and argue motions, briefs, pleadings, and other litigation documents.
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy.
• Analyze complex factual and legal issues and provide practical recommendations to clients.
• Participate in hearings, negotiations, mediations, and other court proceedings.
• Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Assist with trial preparation and case development.
• Manage multiple matters and deadlines while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and staff on complex litigation matters.

Requirements:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• 4–8 years of litigation experience; strong civil litigation background; employment litigation experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle depositions, written discovery, and motion practice.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple matters and competing deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a collaborative team environment.
• Admission to the Massachusetts Bar in good standing.
