Event Finance and Operations Manager

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and AI space, is seeking a dedicated Event Finance and Operations Contractor to join their dynamic team. As an Event Finance and Operations Contractor, you will be an integral part of the Global Communications Events team supporting a variety of high-profile executive, employee, and press/analyst events. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, strategic thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Event Finance and Operations Contractor

Location: Remote

Pay Range: $50/hr W2

What's the Job?

• Manage and maintain comprehensive event budget trackers across multiple events and fiscal quarters.

• Support quarterly financial forecasting, reconciliation activities, and monitor PO status, invoices, and vendor spend.

• Coordinate operational workflows with vendors, agencies, and partners to ensure seamless event execution.

• Create and maintain operational documentation, templates, trackers, and process workflows to standardize event management processes.

• Identify operational risks, gaps, and escalation items, supporting the development of event operations infrastructure and playbooks.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in event operations, finance, program management, or related roles.

• Strong proficiency in Excel, financial tracking, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting; experience with AirTable is a plus.

• Experience managing POs, invoices, vendor contracts, and budget forecasting.

• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to develop clear process documentation.
