Extended Day Program Assistant

Employment Opportunity The Academy of the Holy Names is seeking a caring, responsible, and energetic Extended Day Program Assistant to join our Auxiliary Programs team. This part‑time role supports our Extended Day program for students ages 4 to 14, providing a safe, engaging, and supportive environment during after‑school hours. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates well with both students and staff, and brings positivity to their role each day. Position Details Hours: Monday–Friday, 2:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Reports to: Director of Auxiliary Programs and Auxiliary Programs Coordinator Qualifications Experience working with children, preferably in a school or camp setting Ability to problem‑solve and make sound decisions Comfortable using basic technology Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a team‑first mindset Key Responsibilities Supervise and engage with students during indoor and outdoor play, snack time, and homework time Monitor student check‑in and check‑out, ensuring accurate records Enforce program rules and expectations consistently and kindly Ensure the safety and well‑being of all students in your care Support the Auxiliary Programs Coordinator with daily program needs The Academy of the Holy Names does not discriminate based on race, faith, nationality, or ethnic origin in its hiring process nor in the administration of educational policies, admission policies or tuition‑assistance programs, athletics, or other school‑administered programs.
