State: Florida Postal Code: 33613 Job Description: Perform venous access procedures within the scope of RN licensure, ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Administer and monitor infusion therapy treatments, adjusting care plans based on patient responses and needs. Assess patients' conditions to determine appropriate venous access methods and address any complications. Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients requiring venous access and infusion therapy. Provide patient education on venous access and infusion therapy to ensure understanding and compliance. Monitor performance of nursing staff, provide feedback, conduct appraisals, and implement improvement plans to ensure clinical and professional standards are met. Foster professional growth by identifying training needs, organizing educational programs, and mentoring staff to enhance their skills and career progression. Resolve conflicts among staff promptly and effectively using mediation techniques to maintain a positive work environment and ensure team cohesion. Lead quality improvement initiatives by analyzing data, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Communicate clearly and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care. Mentor and precept new staff by providing hands‑on training, feedback, and fostering professional development. Ensure compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and hospital policies to maintain high standards of patient services and safety. Performs other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to coordinate daily unit operations to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care delivery. Ability to monitor quality, safety, and patient experience metrics and implement improvement strategies on the assigned unit. Ability to support staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient care and operational needs. Ability to onboard, coach, and develop staff in support of employee growth and professional development. Ability to facilitate effective interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve patient care and organizational goals. Ability to identify operational challenges and implement timely and effective solutions. Ability to utilize data, reports, and performance measures to support decision‑making and unit outcomes. Ability to promote a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Ability to manage conflict and foster positive working relationships among employees, patients, and interdisciplinary team members. Work Experience: Experience participating in quality improvement, patient safety, or performance improvement initiatives. [Preferred] Experience serving as a preceptor, mentor, or educator for nursing staff. [Preferred] Experience coordinating staffing, patient flow, and daily operational activities within an acute care setting. [Preferred] Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support patient care outcomes. [Preferred] Experience utilizing performance metrics, productivity reports, and operational data to support unit objectives. Participation in unit-based committees, shared governance councils, or organizational initiatives may be required based on unit assignment.
