Project Overview:

Bechtel’s Manufacturing and Technology (M&T) Business Unit is designing, building and commissioning a semiconductor fab in Clay, NY. M&T is an exciting and growing business unit that serves customers in the semiconductor, datacenter, life sciences, and electric vehicle markets. Job Summary:

In this role, you will support project cost control activities under the guidance of senior cost engineering personnel. You will assist with maintaining cost data, preparing routine reports, and supporting project controls processes to help ensure timely and accurate project cost information. #LI-SM2

Major Responsibilities:

• Assists with cost control, analysis, and reporting activities under supervision.
• Maintains project cost records, including actual costs, commitments, and budgets.
• Supports cost coding activities and helps ensure transactions are recorded accurately.
• Assists with preparation and distribution of routine labor, cost, and project performance reports.
• Supports monthly invoicing and project closeout activities, as directed.
• Assists in maintaining and updating PSERV, CoCo, QURR etc.
• Assists with staffing plan updates and workforce reporting.
• Participates in project controls meetings and supports cost-related action item follow-up.
• Develops an understanding of project controls procedures, cost management practices, and Bechtel systems.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Requires a University Hire with less than 1 year of experience or 4-5 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic understanding of project controls and cost engineering principles.
• Ability to learn and apply cost management processes, procedures, and systems.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications, including PowerBI.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced project environment.
• Basic overall knowledge of construction industry.
