Overview Director of Nursing | Sitka, Alaska | Start 08/17/2026 | 13-week travel assignment | 40 guaranteed hours per week | Days shift | Hospital setting | Travel - Temporary Assignment. Key Highlights Weekly pay: $3,580 - $3,865 per week Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week Contract duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Start date: 08/17/2026 Housing/Transportation: Agency-arranged housing and transportation Responsibilities Provide leadership and oversight of Nursing Services within the assigned department, including staffing, skill development, and adherence to standards of care Coordinate patient care assignments, monitor workload, and optimize staffing to meet patient needs and safety Develop, implement, and update department policies, procedures, and performance standards; ensure regulatory compliance (Joint Commission, CMS, etc.) Partner with Education and Human Resources to support ongoing education, competency validation, and staff development; oversee preceptor programs Support quality improvement activities, participate in governance forums, and escalate administrative concerns to leadership as needed Requirements Active Alaska RN license required at time of submittal Graduate of an accredited nursing program; high school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred 5 years professional nursing experience; minimum 2 years as staff RN in immunotherapy/chemo; 1 year with supervisory/manager responsibilities ACLS required; PALS and NRP preferred Flu vaccine required No time off (RTO) during first 13 weeks of the contract period Benefits and Support Agency-arranged housing and transportation 24/7 recruiter and travel support Dedicated support throughout the assignment Fast credentialing process PAY DISCLAIMER Please note: Pay rates and guaranteed hours are estimates and may vary.
