Customer Service Representative

Make a difference. Shingle & Gibb Automation has an immediate opening for a full-time Customer Service Representative at our Amherst, NY location. If you are a customer service professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Shingle & Gibb Automation has an exciting opportunity for you! In this role you will: Provide customer service in a fast-paced environment. Process quotes and orders for customers including expediting, model, part number and pricing review. Update orders to comply with customer changes. Maintain delivery performance on orders, coordination of information and communication between customer, outside sales and our vendors. Provide timely communication back to the customer through all stages of the quote and order processing. What you bring to the table: Ability to handle high volume of email and telephone interactions. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Possess a strong ability to organize data from different sources (email, phone conversations, teams messages, etc.) Exude a pleasant and friendly personality and demonstrate a passion for the customer. Ability to multi-task while focusing on the importance of details. Strong Computer skills with a high proficiency in Microsoft 365 Suite (formerly ‘Office’) Epicor P21 experience is a plus Familiarity with distributorship operations is a plus Strong problem solving and Teamwork skills. Must be able to interface with all levels of management both internal and with external customers. Continuous learning of and training on our product lines and technologies. Ability to work in an open office environment. Must have reliable transportation Must have reliable internet connection (for hybrid/remote work) Minimum education required- high school diploma Shift and Hours: Monday - Friday; 8:15 am to 5 pm Compensation details: The expected rate of pay for this position is $22.00 per hour - $25.00 per hour, depending on experience. This position will include in-office training for the first couple months, followed by a flexible hybrid schedule during normal business hours Monday-Friday.
