Part-Time Night School Organizer

Location: Lynn, Massachusetts
Pay: $25 per hour, W-2
Schedule: 10–15 hours per week, including some evenings and weekends

Position Overview

The New Lynn Coalition is seeking a Part-Time Night School Organizer to coordinate the Lynn Community Enrichment Program (LCEP). The Organizer will focus on marketing, community outreach, student recruitment, enrollment, and program operations while working under the supervision of the Executive Director.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and carry out marketing and outreach plans to increase enrollment.
  • Recruit students through community tabling, neighborhood outreach, telephone calls, emails, social media, and flyer distribution.
  • Build relationships with community organizations, schools, unions, businesses, faith communities, and local leaders.
  • Follow up with interested residents and help them complete registration and payment.
  • Coordinate courses, instructors, schedules, classrooms, and program materials.
  • Manage enrollment, attendance, payments, class capacity, waitlists, and student communications.
  • Organize open houses, orientations, meetings, and special events.
  • Maintain program records, collect participant feedback, and assist with reports.
  • Support other New Lynn Coalition activities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience in marketing, community outreach, organizing, education, program coordination, or similar work.
  • Demonstrated ability to recruit participants and increase enrollment.
  • Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Canva, websites, and social media.
  • Comfortable representing LCEP at community events and speaking with residents.
  • Ability to work independently and communicate regularly with the Executive Director.
  • Availability for some evening and weekend outreach, classes, and events.
  • Bilingual skills preferred, especially Spanish, but not required.
  • Familiarity with Lynn’s diverse communities is preferred.

Growth Opportunity

Performance will be reviewed after the first two months. If the employee meets or exceeds expectations, additional hours may be offered. The position may also develop into a full-time role with additional base-building, community outreach, and organizing responsibilities, depending on performance, organizational needs, and available funding.
