Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk

CareGivers is a growing home care agency with headquarters in Tonawanda NY, seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant/Accounting Clerk to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This is a part-time, onsite position with flexible hours and the opportunity for additional responsibilities based on performance.

Job Location: 2465 Sheridan Drive, Tonawanda NY (IN OFFICE Position) Status: Part Time, 10-15 hours a week (flexible schedule) Rate: $20.00 $25.00 / hour (based on experience)

This job is required to be performed at our Tonawanda NY office, so all applicants must live within commuting distance.

Qualifications

• Some accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred (but willing to train the right candidate)
• Ability to work independently, stay organized, and think critically
• Strong attention to detail and reliability
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.)
• Familiarity with accounting systems preferred (experience with AS400 / green screen systems is a plus, but not required)

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable (enter invoices, prepare and issue payments)
• Assist with accounts receivable and cash application
• Perform credit card reconciliations
• Support payroll processing, payroll tax payments, and quarterly and annual filings
• Provide general administrative and accounting support
• Assist with additional tasks as needed
• Optional / Growth Opportunity: Opportunity to take on billing responsibilities and increase hours for the right candidate
