Are you a senior operations leader with hands-on experience in raw poultry further processing — tray pack, cutting lines, hand sizing, DSI equipment?

I'm partnered with a growing retail tray pack poultry processor in Hanover, MD searching for a Director of Operations to lead their campus and take their operation to the next level.

About the Operation: This is a high-volume raw further processing facility producing retail and foodservice poultry products. They work with tray pack lines alongside cutting operations — cone lines, tender sizing, and breast sizing departments — serving major grocery customers.

What You'll Own: ✅ Full site P&L and operational performance ✅ Production, maintenance, safety, and quality ✅ A direct leadership team including Plant Manager and Maintenance Manager ✅ Customer service levels to major retail accounts (OTIF) ✅ Continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives

What the Client Needs: Direct experience in raw further processing — specifically tray pack and/or cutting line operations. This is the non-negotiable. Live operations only or RTE/fully cooked backgrounds will not be the right fit for this role.

They want someone who has been in the trenches of this specific process and can walk in, assess the operation, and teach the team how to do it better because they've done it themselves.

You're a fit if you have: 10+ years of progressive food/poultry manufacturing leadership Raw further processing experience (tray pack, cone line, tender/breast sizing) P&L ownership and financial accountability HACCP, SQF, and USDA compliance experience Lean/Continuous Improvement background Experience leading plant-level leaders
