Sign - on Bonus: $1,500 after 90 day employment & $1000.00 after 1 year Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Human Services field Substitution: Work experience can be substituted for education Experience: Required Reports To: Executive Director Position Summary The Director of Residential Services is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of residential programs, ensuring high-quality care for individuals served, and maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations, including KDADS and the Final Rule. This role combines administrative leadership with direct care responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Supervision Supervise, support, and evaluate all residential staff Provide leadership, coaching, and ongoing training to ensure quality service delivery Develop staff schedules and ensure adequate coverage for all shifts Address staff performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed Program Oversight Oversee daily operations of residential services to ensure a safe, supportive, and person-centered environment Ensure individualized care plans are implemented effectively Monitor service delivery to maintain high standards of care Direct Care Provide direct care support to residents from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM daily Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), behavioral support, and community integration as needed Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensure full compliance with Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services regulations and HCBS Final Rule Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely completion of reports Prepare for and participate in audits, inspections, and reviews Implement corrective actions to address compliance issues Report directly to the Executive Director on program performance and needs Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external stakeholders Address concerns, incidents, and emergencies in a timely and professional manner Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services, Social Work, or a related field (preferred) Experience in residential services, preferably in a leadership roleKnowledge of KDADS regulations and HCBS Final Rule requirements Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including direct care responsibilities Working Conditions Combination of administrative duties and hands-on direct care May require physical activity, including lifting, assisting residents, and extended periods of standing Required Physical Activities Maintain CPR/First Aid certificate Ability to lift 30 lbs or 1/4 of body weight Driving Requirements Ability to travel independently to various locations Ability to adhere to HCF’s transportation policy Other Requirements Maintain all training required by HCF Ability to meet state required background checks Submit to periodic drug testing Ability to understand written and verbal communication Problem-solving and decision-making ability Ability to supervise the work of others Ability to communicate in English (hearing and speech) Professional conduct Dress in accordance with HCF policy Professional written communication Bondable Good documentation, organization and tracking skills Ability to work independently and as a team member Insurance Benefits Medical Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance Disability Insurance Supplemental Coverage/Memberships Legal Shield/ID Shield Aflac, Globe Life, Manhattan Life/Attentive Supplemental insurance Paid Time-Off (PTO) Holiday Pay Direct Deposit Recruitment and Retention Incentives #J-18808-Ljbffr Heartstrings Community Foundation
