Registered Nurse - Maternal Child Health

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM

The Registered Nurse on Maternal Child Health is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients within the Maternal Child Health department. This position will work collaboratively with unit leadership to follow the scope of practice for nursing governing bodies that apply to Maternal Child Health.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct patient and family assessments, recognizing normal parameters, deviations, and abnormalities.
• Develop care plans using a person-centered care approach, prioritizing nursing care based on patient and family needs.
• Demonstrate critical thinking skills in making clinical decisions and addressing potential issues proactively.
• Implement technical skills required for patient care competently and serve as a resource to peers.
• Facilitate connections for patients and families with other services and disciplines as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Labor and Delivery experience required; postpartum experience preferred.
• Valid Registered Nurse license required.
• Floating as required to other hospital departments.
