Maintains strong business relationships with builders and developers within assigned territory, serving as their primary point of contact and proactively recording interactions with these stakeholders. Promotes the company's programs and services and advocates for natural gas usage to both internal and external stakeholders to influence natural gas buying decisions and promote natural gas for environmental and sustainable solutions. Builds and manages relationships with channel partners, such as gas appliance dealers, plumbers, and HVAC dealers; develops a strong gas dealer network in the assigned work area; and promotes the company's programs and services to influence natural gas buying decisions. Executes well-defined business development programs to maximize customer retention, stakeholder engagement, and grow market share; pursues on‑main conversion and short‑main extension customer growth opportunities. Manages the division's Energy Efficiency program (where applicable) by providing support to the third‑party administrator of the program for residential and commercial customers to take advantage of offered rebates. Tracks building permit and new construction activity in assigned areas and attends Planning and Zoning meetings to stay abreast of all residential and commercial development activity. Utilizes market analytics to gauge success and identify future market opportunities and key growth corridors; develops and presents plans to management, communicating market results and recommendations to increase market share. Manages assigned residential and commercial accounts to ensure services delivered meet customer expectations. Attends industry‑related meetings and conferences (e.g., local HBA’s, state associations, ESC, SGA, etc.) and presents important industry‑related information as appropriate. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field and two years of related experience; or equivalent. Valid driver's license required. Communication Skills: Ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers/stakeholders to obtain and/or provide explanations and/or modifications on technical, environmental or other complex concepts to individuals with little or no background, and proactively advocate for continued/increased usage of natural gas. Numeric Skills: Ability to perform analysis involving financial investments, ratios, percentages, and statistical methods. Computer Skills: Working knowledge of various software applications to create documents, spreadsheets, financial analysis, reports, and/or graphics. Physical Demands Requires occasionally performing activities including, but not limited to, bending, stooping, grasping, reaching, twisting, turning, and/or lifting. Work Conditions Works in indoor and outdoor environments, requires attendance at after‑hours events, occasional travel, and availability outside of business hours to respond to customer or business needs as required.
