Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Qualifications:

• Valid teaching certificate with a Vision endorsement (issued by Maryland State Department of Education)
• Previous experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired
• Fluency or strong foundation in Braille preferred, but not required
• Ability to successfully complete MD background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review (House Bill 486)
• Must be able to present license upon request
