Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Night Shift (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) | Rotating Holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical unit managing a diverse patient population including chest pain, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, orthopedic, detox, post-operative surgical, and pediatric patients
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of no more than 1:5, working alongside LPNs and nurse aides
• Document telemetry strip readings faxed from the ICU and maintain accurate patient records within the electronic health record system
• Manage patients on CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen in coordination with Respiratory Therapy
• Float to other units as needed to serve as a tasker or additional support
• Rotate holiday scheduling in alignment with regular staff requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS certification (required)
• Current NIHSS certification (required)
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Strong Medical Surgical background with experience managing a high variety of patient diagnoses

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification (recommended but not required)
• PALS certification (recommended but not required)
• Experience with pediatric and post-operative surgical patient populations
