Locums Surgical Specialties Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

A facility in Dallas, TX is seeking a Locums Surgical Specialties Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide inpatient consultation coverage for general surgery and trauma adult patient populations. This role focuses on weekend daytime support within a collaborative inpatient setting.

Schedule

  • Weekend Coverage Only
  • Hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Practice Setting
  • Inpatient consultation coverage
  • Adult general surgery and trauma patient populations
  • Strong nursing support staff
  • No First Assist (FA) responsibilities required
Responsibilities
  • Perform inpatient consults for general surgery and trauma services
  • Conduct evaluations, treatment planning, and follow-ups
  • Collaborate with attending surgeons and multidisciplinary care teams
  • Document encounters accurately and efficiently
  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care environment
Requirements


Nurse Practitioner (NP):
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Acute Care Adult Certification (required)
  • Active Texas license
  • No First Assist required
Physician Assistant (PA):
  • Board Certified or eligible under Texas standards to practice
  • Active Texas license
