About the Role
The client is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives across construction operations. This role will drive production performance, oversee key programs, and partner closely with plant leadership, engineering, and supply chain teams.
This is a high-impact position focused on plant operations, continuous improvement, and program execution within a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage multiple manufacturing and operations programs in the construction business from planning through execution
- Partner with plant operations, engineering, and supply chain to ensure on-time production and delivery
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, operational excellence)
- Oversee production planning, scheduling, and workflow optimization
- Manage program timelines, budgets, and performance metrics
- Identify risks within production, supply chain, and operations and implement mitigation plans
- Support capital projects, including equipment installation and process improvements
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA) and company policies
- Provide regular reporting and updates to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years' experience in Program Management, Project Management, or Operations Management
- Background in construction, steel, metals, or heavy industrial environments
Experience with:
- Plant operations / production environments
- Supply chain and production planning
- Cross-functional program leadership
- Working knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have
- Experience in steel, metals, or metal fabrication
- PMP certification or similar
- Engineering or operations-related degree
- Experience leading plant-level initiatives or capital projects
- Bi-Lingual (Spanish & English)
