Registered Nurse – Stroke Stepdown

Schedule: Shift: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: Not specified

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a nurse with stroke stepdown experience
• Active RN License in NY and all active RN Licenses
• Current AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification (can be obtained prior to start)
• Drivers license with address matching demographics
• Skills checklist matching specialty
• Travel experience required

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the stroke stepdown unit.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, documenting and reporting changes as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in the management of patient care.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and health maintenance.

Compliance / Notes:

• RTO (requests for time off) must be included at the time of submission.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
• Floating may be required.
