About the team: this role will play a central part in the conversion and integration of Discover’s credit‑card accounts to Capital One. It requires technical product management skills combined with analytical rigor and judgment to drive horizontal conversion strategy for major components of the Discover conversion and to create a clear vision for the longer‑term integrated Discover destination and associated capabilities. Key Learning Areas Human Centered Collaborate with tech teams to build comprehensive acceptance criteria, identifying and elevating needs for additional research to define future feature design. Break down business epics into features and further into user stories, driving the team toward lowest effort or Minimal Viable Product (MVP) for a valid feature test. Business Focused Use hypothesis‑driven assessment of data to ensure the product or feature delivers on real business needs. Own and prioritize feature development roadmaps, ensuring all necessary processes and procedures are followed to manage risk. Technology Driven Work autonomously in an agile environment, conducting research and developing features that utilize new and evolving technology. Collaborate with designers, technologists, data scientists and subject‑matter experts to build cutting‑edge solutions to help customers. Deliver well‑managed product platforms for customers by understanding technology trends and architecture strategy. Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience. At least one year of product management experience or at least one year in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering. One or more years translating business strategy or analysis into consumer‑facing digital products. One or more years working on core product platforms powering digital experiences. One or more years working with cross‑functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process.
