About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Obstetrics Profession: RN Specialty: OB Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Recent experience with EPIC and Cerner License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Neonatal Resuscitation (NRP) Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinate care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Employ independent judgment in delivering care. Collect relevant data pertinent to patients' health or situation. Analyze assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develop a care plan with prescribed interventions to attain desired outcomes. Implement the plan and coordinate care delivery. Employ strategies to promote health and ensure a safe environment. Evaluate progress toward achieving expected outcomes. Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers in providing care. Provide learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provide health information to patients and treatment teams. Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegate appropriately and coordinate duties among healthcare team members. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
