Certifications: BLS and ACLS


Must-Have:
- Telemetry, oncology, cardiac, and PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown experience.
- Vent and transplant experience required.
- Experience in an academic Level I or II trauma center or similar size hospital.


Description:
Traveler will work in both IMC Acute Med/Progressive Care and Thoracic units.
The position requires providing care to acutely ill surgical and trauma patients in a fast-paced environment.
Shifts will entail both day and evening schedules, typically from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.
Monday through Friday with every other weekend and some holidays are required.
Nurses on this unit care for patients with multiple comorbidities and a variety of medical diagnoses.
Specialty populations include patients with cystic fibrosis, pulmonary hypertension, and post-lung transplant.
The nursing team is skilled in providing comprehensive and specialized care to adults.
The ability to manage telemetry monitoring, initiate and titrate cardiac drips, and administer blood products is essential.
Candidates must be proficient in central line care, managing ventilated patients, and performing phlebotomy.
Nurses should demonstrate strong critical thinking and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Travelers will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to beginning the assignment.
The test will assess the identification of lethal rhythms and cardiac blocks with strict passing criteria.
Failure to meet testing standards may result in assignment cancellation.
Floating may be required based on unit needs.
This position demands a strong proficiency in accessing and managing ports, IVs, and various acute care procedures.
Interest in providing quality patient care and advocating for patients is necessary.
All candidates must comply with health safety regulations related to vaccinations.
