Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Experience: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient Hemodialysis experience in a Level 1 Trauma or similar-size hospital.
License: RN License (WI or Compact) required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA only) required


Must-Have:
EPIC experience required
Traveler will be required to pass a telemetry test prior to start.


Description:
Candidates must have experience with both adult and pediatric patients.
Shifts will include day and evening 12-hour schedules from 08:00 to 20:30, with every other weekend and holidays as needed.
On-call responsibility for weekdays and weekends may be assigned but will not exceed three on-call shifts per six weeks.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of hemodialysis treatments and management.
Responsibilities include providing hemodialysis treatments at the bedside for patients requiring one-on-one care.
Collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team is essential for the treatment and management of care for patients requiring hemodialysis.
The daily census will range from 24 to 40 patients.
The unit supports a variety of patient age groups, including neonates, infants, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
A strong focus on infection control and patient safety is required.
Equipment used includes ceiling lifts, IV pumps, and specific dialysis machinery.
Candidates are expected to manage acute conditions effectively, including but not limited to acute kidney injury and fluid overload.
The unit requires the ability to handle patients with complex medical needs, including those on ventilators.
The successful candidate will complete required assessments and document patient care accurately.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
