Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Manager Leisure Services the Program Coordinator will plan, organize, coordinate and implement a variety of community, recreational, cultural and special events programs at community centers. Work Hours: This position will be expected to work a schedule necessary to accomplish City and departmental goals, including nights, weekends and /or holidays as required. Essential Duties: Develop and organize special events for community centers Enforce rules and regulations of recreational facilities in order to maintain discipline and ensure safety Develop and distribute promotional materials as needed. Evaluate recreation areas, facilities, and services in order to determine if they are producing desired results. Collects activity and registration records and prepares routine and complex program plans and requirements well in advance for budgetary recommendations. Education / Experience: Associate degree in recreation, sports management, wellness or closely related field; one (1) year or related experience.
