Experienced Caregiver Needed -  Litchfield, CT

Personal care for a female client in Litchfield, CT

Monday through Friday 9 am - 2 pm

*Suggested schedule, some flexibility with schedule depending on caregiver's availability.

This position includes Companion Care, Personal Care and Cooking.  We are looking for experienced, compassionate individuals to provide non-medical care to seniors in their homes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with meal planning and cooking for family
• Perform light housekeeping tasks such as dishes
• Provide medication reminders, monitor clients' health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties
• Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of client

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a caregiver, preferably in a home care setting
• Ability to pass a thorough background check and drug screening
• Knowledge of basic caregiver skills and techniques (ADLs and IADLs)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, reliable and able to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism
• Perform physical tasks such as bending and/or standing for extended periods of time
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends and some holidays
