Program Manager

Job Family: Operational Effectiveness. Travel Required: Up to 25%. Clearance Required: Ability to Obtain Secret. Responsibilities Support the U.S. Air Force acquisition and sustainment programs as a Program Manager for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center. Apply acquisition policies and procedures to acquire and sustain Air Force weapon systems and subsystems throughout their life cycles. Assist USG Program Managers with acquisition planning, documentation, and milestone decision support. Provide expert‑level issue resolution and recommendation support to achieve desired program outcomes. Investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, or evaluate solutions for project/program efforts. Mentor USG and contractor team members and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Provide strategic planning support to align program initiatives with government priorities and long‑term mission goals. Identify compliance concerns and provide solutions for all program activities adhering to federal laws, procurement regulations (FAR), and Air Force policies. Manage risk by identifying, prioritizing, mitigating, and taking corrective measures that could impact program schedule, cost, or performance. Evaluate performance by establishing metrics and KPIs to measure program progress and success and drive continuous improvement. Perform acquisition program office activities such as gathering program information, conducting planning and analyses, assisting in acquisition strategy planning, tracking and scheduling, implementing contractor performance status systems, establishing databases, developing key program metrics, integrating risk management plans, supporting program briefings, and communicating recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management. Qualifications Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "SECRET" clearance, with approved adjudication prior to onboarding. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Aeronautics, Applied Math, Logistics, Business, Finance, or related field. Eight (8) or more years of professional experience in the program/project management functional area. Five (5) or more years of experience supporting DoD programs/projects. Preferred Qualifications Active and maintained "SECRET" clearance. Advanced degree (Highly Desirable) in the related field. Project/Program management certification; DAWIA or PMP preferred. DoD acquisition experience; familiarity with DoD acquisition processes and documentation. DoD Development or Operations experience: Prior military operational flight experience. Demonstrated management and leadership skills in a collaborative environment. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and proven ability to work effectively within all organizational levels, including senior DoD leadership. Salary The annual salary range for this position is $102,000.00–$170,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
