You'll have significant ownership, work closely with Product and Design teams, and help build scalable systems that support a rapidly expanding customer base. The Role Build, scale, and maintain backend services using Python Design and develop APIs that power key platform functionality Work closely with Product and Design teams to deliver customer-focused solutions Contribute to architecture decisions that improve performance, scalability, and reliability Develop systems across onboarding, customer management, communications, integrations, and operational tooling Take ownership of features and projects from design through deployment Promote engineering best practices and high-quality code standards Support the growth of a modern cloud-based platform serving a growing user base Your Skills & Experience Strong commercial experience with Python backend development Experience working with Django, Flask, or similar frameworks Expertise designing and building REST APIs Strong knowledge of distributed systems and web application architecture Experience working with relational databases and ORM technologies Exposure to AWS and cloud-native environments Experience building customer-facing products within SaaS, marketplace, consumer technology, or other product-led businesses Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively across teams Product-minded approach with a strong sense of ownership What They Offer $155,000 - $225,000 base salary Equity package Comprehensive benefits package Hybrid working model with 3 days per week in the New York City office High levels of ownership and autonomy Opportunity to solve complex technical challenges at scale Clear progression opportunities within a growing engineering organisation Collaborative and supportive engineering culture How to Apply If you are a Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python experience and a passion for building scalable products, apply today to learn more about this opportunity.
