Virtus Healthcare Staffing is searching for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our partner, a 106-bed, Joint Commission-accredited medical center in Sierra Vista, AZ. Position Overview

As a Cath Lab RN, you will be a key member of the cardiology team, providing direct patient care, from pre-procedure preparation to post-procedure recovery. You will demonstrate proficiency in a variety of complex cardiac procedures, including cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, and permanent pacemaker implants. Your role requires strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and a commitment to patient advocacy, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, assisting with patient prep, procedure, and recovery.
• Demonstrate proficiency in performing cardiac catheterizations, percutaneous coronary interventions, and permanent pacemaker implants.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure a seamless and safe procedural experience.
• Utilize expertise in plan-of-care interventions and life-saving techniques.
• Maintain a professional approach by following all established standards and protocols.
• Provide crucial education and support to patients and their loved ones.

Qualifications

• Education:
  
  
  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing is required.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's Degree is preferred.
• Licenses and Certifications:
  
  
  • An active Arizona or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License is required.
  • Must obtain ACLS and CPR certifications within 90 days of hire.
• Experience:
  
  
  • A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience is preferred.
