The role requires 48 hours per week. Candidates must possess valid BLS certification. There is no special scheduling or request time off allowed after accepting the position. The unit comprises 24 beds and includes a charge nurse, several nurses, and techs. The patient-to-nurse ratio is 5:1. The type of equipment used is related to medical/surgical care. The electronic medical record system in use is Meditech. Typical procedures involve post-operative assessments and care. Care includes post-prostatectomy and post-hysterectomy management. Pain management techniques are utilized, including PCA and epidurals. Foley catheter maintenance is part of the responsibilities. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, compassionate, and flexible. Candidates should cope well in a fast-paced environment.
